The village of St Romain-en Charroux is very pretty with the village green at the heart. The house is down a small cul-de-sac which is on one side of the green, next to the marvellous restaurant and bar which has a full and varied menu.
The bakery and boulangerie is on the other side opposite the town hall. Further up the hill from the village is a huge playing field, football ground, boules pitch and tennis courts.
